Alvaro Morata made Premier League history with his header vs Everton
Last weekend's impressive 2-1 victory away to Tottenham reminded everyone of exactly why they're the reigning champions.
It was Marcos Alonso's free-kick and last-minute winner that secured all three points at Wembley, but Chelsea defended brilliantly to stunt Spurs' attack.
And they were at their best once again during Sunday's game against Everton, dominating proceedings and taking a 2-0 lead before half-time.
Cesc Fabregas opened the scoring in the 27th minute with a sublime finish using the outside of his foot after playing a one-two with summer signing Alvaro Morata.
Morata then grabbed a goal of his own by meeting Willian's cross and heading past Jordan Pickford.
The Spaniard has been an instant hit at Stamford Bridge since completing a £58 million move from Real Madrid, scoring two goals and providing two assists in three Premier League games.
A lot of attention has been on Romelu Lukaku for his goalscoring antics at Manchester United, meaning Morata's performances have somewhat slipped under the radar.
Well, that should no longer be the case considering he made Premier League history during the 2-0 Everton win.
According to Opta (see below), Morata's goal against the Toffees meant he became the first player ever to record a goal and assist in his first two home games in the Premier League.
Not many fans will have noticed Morata making Premier League history, but it's a pretty impressive feat.
Antonio Conte has been full of praise for the 24-year-old in recent days and believes he's only going to get better as he continues to adapt.
"Morata is improving a lot," said the Italian. "Also [Tiemoue] Bakayoko is working with us for only 10 days. To go into a different style of football is not simple.
"You have to understand the movement, when you attack the space, whether you stay to receive the ball, there are many situations to understand.
"Morata is improving a lot in physical condition and is also adapting to the football."
