Forbes recently released the official list for 2018 African billionaires in Africa. Unlike in 2017, 2018 Africa's billionaire became collectively richer.
Forbes managed to get 23 billionaires from Africa in 2018, up from 21 billionaires in 2017. South Africa had eight billionaires in the list with Kenya counting none.

2018's billionaire's combined worth stands at $75.4 billion, compared to $70 billion in 2017.
Without further ado, lets go straight to the list.
1. Aliko Dangote $12.2 billion - Nigeria
Aliko Dangote has been named Africa's richest man for the seventh time in a row.The Nigerian billionaire is worth $12.2 billion with high stake in the cement and commodities industries.
2. Nicky Oppenheimer $7.7 billion - South Africa
South Africa's Oppenheimer came second with a net worth of $7.7 billion.The South African billionaire is big on diamond mining.He is among eight South Africans who made it to the 2018 list, making it the African country with most billionaires.
3. Johann Rupert $7.2 billion - South Africa
Johann Rupert made it to position number three with a net worth of $7.2 billion. The billionaire has interest in luxury goods.
4. Nassef Sawiris $6.8 billion - Egypt
Fourth on the richmen list is Nassef Sawiris who is worth $6.8 billion, wealth he has accumulated over time from his construction and chemicals businesses.
5. Mike Adenuga $5.3 billion
Another Nigerian on the list is Mike Adenuga who stands at $5.3 billion. The businessman invests in telecommunication and oil.
6. Issad Rebrab $4 billion
Among billionaires with human interest at heart is Issad who has invested heavily in food industry.He came fourth with $4 billion
7. Naguib Sawiris $4 billion -Egypt
The 63 year old business man took position five in the list. Naguib Sawiris is heavy on telecommunication.
8. Koos Bekker $2.8 billion - South Africa
A media mugul, Koos came eighth with an estimated worth of $2.8 billion. Koos has invested in media and other investments.
9. Isabel dos Santos $2.7 billion - Angola
Isabel dos Santos is the only woman on top 10 in the list. The 44 year old business lady made her wealth through different investments. She is worth $2.7 billion.She is the daughter to Angola's former president Jose Eduardo dos Santos.
10. Mohamed Mansour $2.7 billion - Egypt
The Egyptian business man closed the top ten list with estimated worth of $2.7 billion. The business man has invested in diverse industry.
11. Patrice Motsepe $2.4 billion - South Africa
Another South African in the list is Patrice Motsepe. He stands at $2.4 billion. He is the founder and executive chairman of African Rainbow Minerals, which has interests in gold, ferrous metals, base metals, and platinum.
12. Aziz Akhannouch $2.2 billion - Morocco
Aziz Akhannouch from Morocco took position 12 being the proud owner of $2.2 billion. He is the current Minister of Agriculture in Abdelilah Benkirane's cabinet, a position he has held since 2007.He has invested heavily in farming and petroleum.
13. Yasseen Mansour $1.9 billion - Egypt
Yasseen Mansour from Egypt is worth $1.9 billion at only 56 years old.He has two brothers who are also billionaires, Mohamed Mansour and Youssef Mansour.
14. Strive Masiyiwa $1.7 billion - Zimbabwe
Strive Masiyiwa is a Zimbabwean businessman, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He is the founder and executive chairman of diversified international Telecommunications, Media and Technology group Econet Wireless and Kwesé Sports.
15. Folorunsho Alakija $1.6 billion - Nigeria
The second woman in the top 23 list is Nigerian businesswoman Folorunsho Alakija who is worth $1.6 billion. She has invested in Oil. In 2014 she temporarily unseated Oprah Winfrey as the richest woman of African descent in the world
16. Othman Benjelloun $1.6 - Morocco
Othman Benjelloun is big on banking and insurance.His ventures have racked in $1.6 billion, making him one of the oldest billionaires at 85.
17. Mohammed Dewji -$1.5 - Tanzania
Closer home, Mohammed Dewji from Tanzania made it to the list at position 17. He is a businessman,Philanthropist and former politician. He is the president and owner of MeTL Group, a Tanzanian conglomerate founded by his father in the 1970s.
18. Youssef Mansour $1.4 billion - Egypt
Mansour is worth $1.4 billion.The Egyptian billionaire businessman and part owner of the Mansour Group.
19. Michiel Le Roux $1.2 billion
Roux is the founder and former chairman of Johannesburg-listed Capitec Bank Holdings. The bank's stock has climbed more than 50% in the past year, making him a new billionaire worth $1.2 billion.
19. Stephen Saad $1.2 billion - South Africa
Stephen Saad is a South African billionaire businessman, who is the founder and chief executive of Aspen Pharmacare.His company is largest producer of generic medicines in Africa.
21. Desmond Sacco $1.1 billion - South Africa
Desmond Sacco is a South African businessman. The African billionaire also serves as Chairman and Managing Director of Assore Limited.
21. Onsi Sawiris $1.1 billion - Egypt
The Egyptian businessman was estimated to be worth approximately $1.2 billion according to Forbes in 2017 but has dropped. He is the patriarchal head of the Sawiris Family.
21. Christoffel Wiese $1.1 billion - South Africa
Christoffel F. Hendrik Wiese is a South African businessman. His source of wealth is consumer retail.
